Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

Held at The Granary Cafe in Sunshine on Friday 27th May, 2011.

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is one of Australia's most well-loved fundraising events, and plays a vital role in raising money towards Cancer Council's work in research, education, prevention and support.

Over the past few years the Women In Business Network has supported the Cancer Council's Biggest morning tea at the palatial home of Michelle Micallef, Ex President of Women in Business. In 2011 the event was held at Sunshine's cosy Granary Café where members mingled with local workers over a coffee and cake. Children were welcome and enjoyed their morning tea perched on their mummy's knee. The event raised $163 dollars.

4 raffle prizes were drawn: Two tickets to a rebels Rugby game was won by Baptcare Chaplain, Cheryl Williams who donated the prize to a local youth group. Sandra Wright (WIBNET member) won 2 tickets to the Village cinemas, and two locals who donated to the morning tea also won tickets and a morning tea hamper. Thanks to Baptcare who sourced the tickets!

As usual the event was a terrific opportunity to meet new members and would be members.
